copy and edit from googlemail?
Hi Folks
Probably a stupid question for all you experts out there, however bare with an old fart......... I get a joke on google mail, it has pictures and text. How can I edit it before I resend it? (Change a text) Or before I copy it? Thanks O.F. |
You can save the pictures to a suitable location on your computer. Then copy the text (highlight it and press Ctrl + C), then open Wordpad or similar and paste (Ctrl + V) it in. Then edit it as you wish. Save it if you want, or just select it and paste it back to a new Email and insert the photo if required. At least that's what I would do with Thunderbird, I'm not sure how you go with pictures on Google Mail.

Thanks
Worked a treat! Cheers. |
If all you need to change is text, simply 'forward' the email but delete/change/add text as desired before you send. Far simpler?

Engineers moto: "Add lightness and simplicate" - Oh Bugger.....
Well the O/P was happy anyway..... |
Not sure if this will help but there is a facility to turn an email into Google doc.

You guys are just great!
One more question and then hopefully I can stop bothering you......... I get an animated GIF image in a mail. I save it and it works fine. Then I try to copy and paste it into a new mail, (G mail), and I get an empty square with a torn page symbol in the corner. I know that I can add it as an attachment, and also paste the URL............. Your expertise would be appreciated. Cheers OF. |
