AutoMorph - HTML to Plain Text.
 

I posted some time ago, but can't get back any further than Page 4 to find the original, that certain corporate e-mails are being sent to me in HTML but arriving on my desktop in Plain Text - as a long, lomg, list of URL's.

I never did get to the end of it - some of the mails show in HTML, some show in Plain Text - including different mails from the same sender.

I just moved a hard drive from my wifes machine and inserted it into my machine, as an additional - and the same thing is now happening to her mail, some arrives in HTML, some (that she has been receiving on her own machine for years) is arriving at the screen in Plain Text.

I'm summising, then, that the desktop computer is to blame, not the e-mails themselves - but absolutely buggered as to where to look for something to tweak.

Turns out to be a "certification" thing with AVG 8.

AVG scans incoming e-mails and applies a "certified virus free" tag to the end - this apparently disables the HTML is *some* mails.

Unchecked the box - need to wait for one of the known offenders to come in now - see if it still does it.
