It's part of the kontiki.exe process which used by the kontiki 'delivery management system' (DMS). The K DMS system is used to share and track files across a network or the internet. If you access data that is provided using the Kontiki DMS system you should leave this process running. Otherwise, it can be terminated.

BBC Iplayer and 4OD use it, it's a sort of hybrid peer to peer/server thing.

Thanks green granite for your prompt reply. You've actually pointed out why I can't get the BBC iplayer to work, I wondered why it wouldn't! I'm not particularly bothered about that now as I've just bought a HDD for the TV.

But, I wouldn't mind my google earth and virtual earth working properly! Does the same thing affect these as well?
