indiv01.key
Any ideas, please ?
I'm having problems with Windows Media Player. Some music tracks in the library cause WMP to throw up error message ' indiv01.key ' If I ignore the message, WMP continues playing for a few minutes before cutting out.....If I ' click ' for details of the error message, it shuts down immediately. I've tried several googles, but don't really understand either the problem or the advice, especially as all of them relate to VISTA and I'm running XP....And advice to empty the drl cache, although when I do a search for drl, I have about 30 of these and don't know which one to empty.... The tracks causing the problem are not ' illegal ' - they were loaded from a CD which I recorded myself from purchased CD's on my own CD player / recorder, and were originally loaded on to my Hard Disk with some other tracks, copied to a Flash Drive( which don't cause a shut-down ) before my Mother Board was changed, and then back to my Hard Drive... Now I'm trying to burn these back to CD for home and car use, but can't.... All advice much appreciated Thanks |
Have you made any changes to the hardware in your computer recently? New hard drive, webcam, soundcard, anything?

Probably a DRM problem (especially if it's WMP11)
Try unistalling WMP and then going to: c:\documents and settings\All users\DRM and rename DRM to OLDDRM then re-install WMP If you have an OLDDRM delete that first You may need to do the "show hidden files and folders" thing first to see it. thats in tools >folder options then click the "view" tab scroll down and check the show hidden files and folders box. |
Done and solved.....
Renamed the DRM as OLD DRM.... Reloaded WMP11.. . Renewed the Licenses at the prompt.... Everything seems to work OK now.... Always surprises me that we have such knowledge and experts on here.... Thanks everyone.... |
