Am I just unlucky??????
 

Full credit to the pprune team for providing a fantastic website for all of us involved / interested in the aviation thing....
However, in the past 2 or 3 weeks I've been wishing to use the search function on many occaisions - thus far with not a great deal of success.
On about 80% of these occaisions the server has reported that it is working too hard and cannot accommodate my requests.
Is this a new problem with the popularity of the website or a temporary overload due to the recent overhaul of the system??
It's more than a bit frustrating when all this great info is at hand, but often not accessible.
Anyone with any thoughts????

Yep it is the wrong forum, so why dont you help the moderators out, delete your message by using the edit function and then repost it in the Computer / Internet issues forum.

Alternatively, you could look in that forum to see the excellent answer that was already posted by CaptP.

Problem with search is that it is extremely cpu intensive and the server is struggling to cope with the number of users. We have set up a limiter that wil only let the search function if the server load is below a preset limit.
