Convert Word doc to HTML?
I get a feeling (as I write this) that the answer will be blindingly simple (or I am - blindingly simple, that is).
I have scanned some 30+ pages of printed information into my machine...and stored them all as Word documents (all as separate pages). I would now like to link them all together but convert them into HTML for web posting. Somebody tell me how. (Politely) ------------------ LIVE in peace...or REST in it! |
Click File save as HTML, I know that this is available from Word 97 onwards not sure about previous versions though. To link you need to type <A HREF="http://www.page name.htm </A>

Ahha...as with all my computing attempts...the response is ....DOH!!
I'm running Word95...I'm always one upgrade away from where I want to be. |
Squeakmail,
If your browser has an HTML editor with it (eg, Front Page Express in IE), maybe you could import the Word docs into that then save as HTML from there. Just a thought, haven't tried it myself. AA |
sm - Do not despair - yet! Try going to the Microsoft web site. Somewhere I think they have an extension to Word 6 or Word 7 that enables you to save in HTML format. It may be listed as "Internet Assistant for Word". If you can't find it, drop me an e-mail (check my profile) 'cos somewhere I have it on a diskette.
