Can't get 'turned off'...!!!

Windows XP Professional. .. .Every time I shut down Windows XP it re-boots???. .. .I have checked the power settings (never switch off hard drive).

When you select SHUTDOWN, check that you do not have RE-BOOT activated...

This is a 'feature' that I've heard about in both Win9x and 2k. Have you tried looking in the <a href="http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?ln=EN-US&pr=kbinfo&" target="_blank">Microsoft knowledge base</a>?
