I've just installed IncrediMail, so far there has been no problems. It's great if you have multiple accounts. Fantastic range of backgrounds & animations.

It depends what you want really. For the mail client that has everything (apart from decent IMAP support) i'd recommend The Bat! from www.ritlabs.com. It's amazingly configurable but not easy for the computer uninitiated. For something the plugs in and works i'd go for Netscape communicator (later than 4.7 or it's full of bugs!!) - easy to setup and a damn site more stable than M$ Outlook.

Just my £0.02.....

I would vote for Eudora - have been using it for years and it doesn't have the security risks associated with Outlook (have you noticed? all the really malicious viruses recently have exploited Outlook's weaknesses). It handles multiple personalities absolutely transparently. Now comes in two flavours - a version you pay for (no ads) and a free "sponsored" version (unobtrusive ads bottom left of screen which I don't mind at all). You do need to register for both versions. Rel 5.1 just announced.

I've used Eudora since I stopped chipping out stone tablets. No problems, none of the Microsoft nasties and you can get a free version from the Eudora site. A good program.
