Help me to open 'spreadsheets' please.
I have arranged to receive my company e-mails at home rather than sit down at anti-social hours poring over them. The company uses Lotus Notes and I am running W98 and use AOL. I have found that some of the lists are XLS files which require Excel to open them; my system denies all knowledge of this requirement. Any ideas, please? I'm quite new to all this, so the simpler, the better.

If you dont have a copy odf MS Excel try to get a copy of Star Office;it is free and appears on magazine cover disks regularly. It will open .xls files.

Microsoft do a free download of Excel Viewer, You can't work on the files but you can read them.

Thanks guys. Couldn't find the free download, but will keep an eye out for Star Office.
