Unregistering a user name

Is that English????

okay 2 questions

1. How do I delete a user name which I can access, but I no longer wish to use?

2. Same question but for one that I can't remember the password for and the email account it is registered with is no longer active so I can't receive the password reminder?

Any suggestions or do I need to bother one of the asdministrators?

You need to bother an administrator! Use "Contact us" on the left of this page.

It is very quick to achieve, but I'm not sure if that equates to simple to carry out, so I wouldn't do it today because Danny is hopping mad again (for Jetblast reasons) and may therefore be a little reluctant to spend even more time at his keyboard!

ThyT (Thorry I got my tongue stuck in a harmonica today). :D

Quickest way would be to post something particularly ribald in JetBlast and include a few URL's to porn sites - you'll find the accounts will be deleted even before you hit the "post" button!!! :D

Fine advice passed on for a remarkably swift service Gash - only problem is your e-mail address would be blocked as well making re-registering rather slow.

Rather more prosaic but still effective is this approach:

Write to us at the Towers with user name, e-mail address and password to prove you really are who you say. We can then delete that username. Same goes for the second query - just give us a much info as you can.

Tech gurus like PPRuNe Dispatch and CrashDive are able to do this by giving a blank terminal a bit of a glare, then an almost imperceptible shrug of the shoulders and it's done.

Lesser mortals like me go into the main admin software to acheive the same results. Either way it gets done so drop us a line.
