Apple Mac ... HELP (Pls!!)
 

I am looking for some practical advice .. I have a power mac. The CD Rom was working one day and then not the next. If I stick a disc in, you can hear it spinning up, but it is evidently not reading it. If a disc is inserted and the system is rebooted using the apple(?)key and C (I think it is) the system will re-boot from the disc (ie - reads it). I believe I have lost the drivers.

I am using OS 8.6 (from a download) but have the disc for OS 8, and if I go to do a custom install from that disc, I'll lose what I've already got, BUT, I can't find where the driver is located, just to download that!

Anyone got any advice that a former blonde can follow?
