IE5.0 Address Toolbar - Will not Clear !!
 

I currently use IE5 but I hate the way it stores addressess and alike in the address toolbar and then you cannot delete them. There are hundreds and they are slowing down the autocomplete function and slowing down surfing !!!!

I have cleared my history/temp int files and used the Autocomplete Clearer within Internet Options !!

Anyone know how to get rid of the index of past addresses ????

If you clear History, then re-start IE5 it will have cleared all the auto-completes - it certainly works on mine (I just tried it!). Perhaps you had not re-started IE5?

If you hit Tools, Internet Options, Content, AutoComplete you can clear the AutoComplete history, or turn it off altogether. Hope this helps.
