Boring Question about Uploading to a Website
 

I've just had my first go at uploading my home page to my freeserve webspace, but the site has not uploaded the jpeg and gif files on the page. Any ideas?

Could be a couple of reasons. The HTML code you use must have the correct suffix for the pic you are using, i.e. interestingpicture.jpg and not JPG it is case sensitive. Make sure that the img src points to the correct location of the file i.e .....mysite/images/interestingpic.jpg
If you want to put up your url for the site I can have a look at the source and see if I can spot any errors, believe me it is so easy to make the oDd TyPoo.

Then, of course, if you are using Web publishing to upload, you will need to upload each and every item on it's own. Especially if you are using FrontPage2000.

Yes, it was the fact I have to upload each file independently that had stumped me. It's OK now. Thanks for your help.
