Not good at all today.
|
It has been truly awful this evening!
|
Mee too. STOPPED reported inbetween loading pages.
|
pprune forums access
I'm finding no problems with access from my Mac computer right now. (23.12hrs)

BOAC: "- have I got time to nip off and change a few napppes, then?"
At the present rate of site problem rectification, you probably have time to nip off and make a few more kids! |
And yet again today. It always seems to deteriorate at 0700 BST....
Loads of 'Database Error' and 'Cannot Find Server' messages. IE6 and WinXP Pro + SP3; mainstream ISP. |
Some attempts to view new pages take close to a minute, others right away.
0900 UT 15 Aug. Firefox XP Home SP2 Comcast ISP near KGAI |
0730 BST Sat 16 August 2008 - Pages only loading in a low quality format.....
|
BEagle,
Advice from IB is to clear your cache: they did some major maintenance earlier today, in order to try to speed things up. Prior to that it all went basic low res/low quality, but on my display it is now much betterer :) Let's just hope it lasts :p |
Thanks, SP - 'Disk Cleanup' seems to have sorted it!
|
The following thread refers to a problem in PPRune.http://www.pprune.org/d-g-general-av...ppearance.html
|
I cleared all cookies and the cache. No problem getting the usual display, but still quite slow loading. Seems to load in various stages, taking anything up to a minute to complete the full procedure. Only experiencing this with the PPRuNe site.
|
Yep, a straightforward "disc cleanup" worked for me also.
All back in glowing techno-colour :ok: |
No access at all around 0600Z this morning (UK) no error messages just sat with the progress bars partly filled, got in eventually at about 0650Z but very slow. (firefox3)
|
08:00Z UK.
No background graphics at all since at least yesterday. All other websites working normally - so not my computer. There is something seriously wrong with this website. |
2000 hrs NZ time, page stops loading in FF3, claims to be waiting for static.pprune.org. Static it most certainly is!
|
Cleared cookies yesterday and pages loaded OK.
Today 18 Aug at 0945 pages loading but VERY slowly. Location: South Bucks. |
Probs
Still not loading properly and very slow, all other sites OK!

Tis getting much worse (1700Z) 45 secs or so to load a thread anything up to 2 Mins to change forums, it's even changing skins between forums :ugh:
|
From Canada, it is really getting frustrating. I used to visit several times a day but now with the continuing slowness and waiting for pages to load, I generally just click off and try later. I am sure this is not the only site on the Internet with server problems but this one is really getting tiresome.

Just took 10 Mins to load a reply. This one sat for 30 mins before I restarted it.
|
Absolutely glue like at 21:34 BST, is this the start of the end of Pprune..... :oh:
|
Slow and jerky loading all day.
Now to sit back and wait after 'Submit Reply' |
Observed glacially slow access at 16:00 to 16:30 UTC this 18-AUG-08 from the USA, Western Pennnsylvania just north of Pittsburgh. Long & Lat included in profile. :)
Similar logjam noted at 21:45 UTC. There's a cord with a knot in it somewhere. <G> |

Seems OK now. Have you been under attack ?? Slightly concerned re possibility of infected server :suspect: |
very slow at 0600Z but now @ 0700Z very fast and a joy to use. even the reply page symbols came up instantly (although with a different skin)
|
Sorted!
All back to normal here too - in fact, fastest ever IMHO. Well done guys!
Jim :ok: |
I agree: It's running great here (UK) at the moment.
PPRuNe used to be the fastest of all the message boards I visited. If IB are on to the problem and keen to fix it, I hope that it will return to its former operational glory. |
Held up very this afternoon with over 6000 people on it.
Well done to those who have done the recent tweaking:ok:. |
All of today and PM yesterday, the reply page didn't fuction. The Font and Size showed blank and none of the accessories worked. It would let me type but it wasn't going anywhere on "submit". It came straight back with the message too short caption.
This was on a MoD computer (not in Firm's time) running Windows NT. I'm assuming that the fault isn't a general Pprune one and something must have changed settings. Clues to the source would be appreciated. |
GBZ, it was reported that yesterday or the day before and it was OK yesterday as it is now. One thing that didn't work was the edit function of posts that pre-dated the fix.
|
I had one issue just now with the Smilies to the right of this reply window. About 5 or 6 were displayed by name and symbols like : ) rather than the smilie.
Ctrl-F5 fixed that. |
