Address bar

Would appreciate if one of you much learned persons in the art of coumputers would assist a very dumb pilot (ex) with a very dumb question.

When I commence to type a URL (correct term I hope), into the address bar it comes up underneath with previous URLs that I have used in alpha order. Realise this may be helpful to some but I would like to stop it happening. MOST appreciative for the solution. Thanks.

Click on Tools, then Internet Options, click the Advanced tab, then uncheck the option called "Use inline auto complete for Web Addresses".

Done.
