Unwanted advice bubbles in XP
I know there must be an easy way to do this but I haven't found it yet. How do you switch off these irritating bubbles that come up every time the cursor is positioned over a button, and especially the one that tells me I'm connected (and then doesn't @*&^ off!) ?

Yes, they are a pain in the a#se. If you download "powertoys for windows XP" from http://www.xp-erience.org/download.php?op=getit&lid=2 and install it, then select "TweakUI/ taskbar", you will have the option to disable them. TweakUI gives you loads of other really useful options too.

Hey Doc, that's a very useful site. Thank you very much.
ps. The Microsoft ClearType is an absolute must on a laptop or flat TFT screen.
