I am constructing a website using Word. Annoyingly, I cannot actually use mailto. Do I simply hyperlink the required word, and type in the URL field, mailto:[email protected]? Does anyone know how I would go about using it?

Before I go, is there any other site's similar to bravenet.com, offering decent freebies?

IMHO, you are just wasting your time farting about with word. Use something decent like one of the web based publishing programs (I use Geocities) or at a pinch publisher..

I do HTML GKV, hence my using word. This package seems as good as front Page or note pad for the job.

Try:-

First save your file as an HTML document.

Then from the menu, Insert|Hyperlink.

In the drop-down list under "Link to File or URL" select "mailto:"

The cursor is placed after the colon. Type your email address and hit return.

Your email address will appear in the document as a hyperlink and upon clicking it should start your email client. It does mine :)
