Printing CD labels from Nero
Sorry Guy's, another question re. my friends first computer!
Investigated the CD burning software supplied with the hardware, which was 'ahead Nero'. Got everything running but am perplexed as to whose preformed paper one buys to be able to print the CD labels and jewel case covers. Also where can I buy such A4 sized paper in the UK. Or can I use some standard label style paper. Once again, thanks in anticipation. I suspect that this will be 2 of 10000 questions! BB |
If you want a sticky CD label then you can buy these from any good Office World.

Can anyone say whether this actually works? I've always been worried that getting the label just a little bit off centre would put the CD out of balance.
I use a spirit-based felt tip instead. |
The best way is to get a little kit from (dare I say) PC World, or any computer equipment supplier.
They are not expensive and consist of a plastic jig, that centers the label and CD, to go together. Normally, it also includes some lablels and the sofware to print them. Replacement labels can also be bought from the same source. :) |
Thanks guy's, I personally use the express-it software sold by PC world, together with the very good little applicator that comes with it.
However when looking at the CD label pro-forma shown with the Nero program it seemed to show a single cd label centred in a landscape page. Does Nero support a particular companies pre-formed sheet?. Does anyone make an A4/A5 sheet that one can print the Nero format on? If not I'll install express-it and get my friends to use PC worlds sheets, which I notice are more expensive than the originating companies labels. |
Memorex do a kit which comes with sticky labels etc and software to ensure accurate placement of the graphics/titles onto labels.I get my kit from www.scan.co.uk. They also supply a box of 100 jewel case recordable cd's for approx £40.00.
It works for me,nobody will ever guess when they open there christmas pressies !!! ;) [ 12 December 2001: Message edited by: Sledge ] |
