Watching NTSC on TV in the UK via MacBook - possible?

Hi folks,

I have some NTSC format videos on my MacBook, and I was wondering if I brought the leads to connect my MacBook to a TV - will it play OK? Bearing in mind I'm using the MacBook to play the video, not a PAL DVD system. The NTSC files are on my HD.

Cheers,

S :ok:

I would start by looking in the manual for the *TV* - the video *source* is often irrelevant.

Most of the modern British television sets that I knew of even before moving to the USA (10½ years ago) played NTSC signals with no problem - and with the leap into digital, HD and LCD/plasma you will probably find that not only will it have NTSC capabilities, but it may also have a specific (VGA?) computer connection as one of its selectable inputs.
