Microsoft XP monthly security updates
 
Keep getting errors when trying to install Microsoft.Net Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1 (KB110806)

I don't know what on earth this patch does, or even whether I need it at all, Microsoft evidently thinks I do, so it would be churlish to refuse it I guess!

Anyway, the thing downloads OK, but won't install. Then I get the error message. Is it important, because until i get it sorted I can't really download the monthly security patches. I've tried 4 times to get it to work, but to no avail.

I'm running MS XP Home, with Service Pack 2.

Anybody got any ideas please?
