AVG Scan on Boot up

I have changed from NAV to AVG free edition which seems to be fine - and the PC runs much faster, but I cannot stop it running a scan (as opposed to auto update) when I start up. Can anyone please tell me how to stop this scan happening.

Cheers,
mcdhu

I also use AVG and find it preferable to NAV.
Have a look under Test Centre / Scheduler. One of your Tasks there may be initiating a scan at boot.

Best!

One of the choices in the scheduler is to "run a scan as soon as possible if one is missed". In other words, if your scan is scheduled for a time the computer is turned off, this choice means that it will start the scan when you next turn on the computer. I have unchecked this box. I don't mind missing a daily scan now and then.

Thanks guys, all fixed now via the scheduler.
