connecting media centre & V+ box & TV
 

Hi,

wondered if you somebody may be able to help me.

i have my virgin coaxial cable coming from outside and being connected to the 'cable in' port on my virgin v+ box, i also have my external tv aerial (coax) connected to the 'antenna' port on the v+ box and a coax cable going from a port called 'to tv' to my media centre port 'vhf/uhf'

both the v+ box and my media centre box are linked the tv with hdmi cables

when i run the tv setup on my media centre, when it starts scanning for a signal it doesn't find anything and says to check hardware setup:confused:. also in the list that appears down the left hand side as the scanning is in process, should hdmi be listed

IIRC cable boxes are best connected to mce via scart. Otherwise check the greenbutton.com to make sure your box is compatible with media centre. Not all of them are.
