Creating Hotmail account in Outlook 2000
 

If this has already been discussed in a previous thread then please accept my apologies.

I already previously managed to create an Internet account within Outlook 2000 to capture emails from my Pipex account and would now like to do the same with Hotmail. If I use the same basic setting then I get an error when I try to get the Hotmail emails.

I am sure that there is a simple answer to the question, but at the moment it has managed to escape me.

Any help appreciated.

Free Hotmail is only accessible from web-browsers, and is not downloadable via outlook etc.

I had just discovered that answer when trying to use Outlook Express instead.

If you can get hold of/upgrade to Outlook 2003 it's easy, just download this Beta of a new product called Connector:

Works fine here - even the "Contacts" are available from the hotmail account. No joy with the "Calendar" yet - still working on it (only found this yesteday).
