Turn Off Tabs in Firefox
OK, I'm a reactionary, but how can I turn off tabbed browsing in Firefox 2.0? I don't find them worth the screen area they occupy.
Is going back to 1.5 the only solution? |
Why would you want to turn them off? Just right click and use open in new window rather than open in new tab.

"tools" "options" "tabs" ...set "new pages should be opened in a new window" is probably the closest you'll get.
But if you don't like tabbed browsing, just don't use it. Personally, I got used to it real fast. |
Couldn't live without it. Run down a forum page, CTRL click all the threads you want to read, they all load in tabs. No skipping to/from the main page.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1122 Under go to options and 'Display --> Tab Bar'. There is an option that allows you to hide the tab bar if only one tab is open. For the record I think you are quite mad! As far as I am concerned trying to access the internet without tabbed browsing is a slow and painful process. However, to each his own.... |
