SD card data recovery

Hi all,

I went to use my Casio Exilim camera last night and it kindly informed me that I have a 'card error' and naturally there are work related pictures I need! (no idea why this occurred, I did nothing!). Trying to access the card on my PC I get a 'card not formatted' message. Has anyone had a similar experience and if so is all hope lost?!

There is free software knocking around that claims to be able to recover pictures from various cards. Search for "PC Inspector file recovery". I've used it successfully.
