Can't connect to pprune
 

Two computers on my home network - mine (main) will not connect to pprune (which it has done for years!) but my wife's (which I am obviously using now) connects without a problem.

Have tried IP7 and Firefox on mine but neither will connect.

Both use XP Pro and connect to Orange France via a D-Link router.

Any clues?

What happens when you ping www.PPRUNE.org from a command prompt?

It sounds like a DNS issue

Try ipconfig /flushdns from the CMD prompt

Thanks for that. Pinged it - 4 packets sent 4 received. Did the "flushdns", Nothing.

Whereas my wife's computer would connect to pprune, the links (eg to this forum) would not work.

Eventually (and I fear here lies the answer somewhere) I replaced my recently installed D-Link router with the Wanadoo/Orange/France Telecom Livebox and here I am, all three computers getting pprune with no problems!
