Dell power connecter problem
 

I just had the power connecter - the female plug - on my Dell laptop repaired as it became intermittent. The shop told me that this is a common problem not only with Dell but HP, IBM and others as well. They said to try and avoid plugging and and unplugging as much as possible so I will leave it in and unplug the cord at the AC adapter instead.
I wonder if anyone else has had this problem.
