Outlook Express
 

Every time I shut down Outlook Express I get a message asking me if I want to compact my messages. How can I get rid of this irritating message?

Outlook Express wants to compact folders once you've opened and closed it 100 times according to http://www.insideoe.com/faqs/why.htm#compact

Maybe if you let it, it will stop bugging you?!

Let it compact the folders and it will stop nagging you, otherwise use the OE tool available here: http://www.oehelp.com/OETool/Default.aspx, this will give you the option ot reset the counter too zero after compaction which the standard compaction notice will not do, or reset it using the regedit mentioned in the article posted in the last entry.
