Scanning into MS Word format

I have a computer with MS word installed, and a scanner. Would some bright person inform me how to save the scan on MS word? I don't get the choice of MS word format to save on, when saving. Sure I get jpeg, etc., etc.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

One of those, 'You have to hunt the application' Ones I am afraid and MS do not make it very intuative either.
