Windows XP - next door neighbours child plays on compter for a while, now the START button is in the top left corner and other stuff down left side instead of along the bottom. Tried drag and drop etc. but can't move it, would appeciate the good word. Thanks.

Unlock it
 

Right-click on an empty bit of the toolbar and uncheck "Lock The Toolbar"
Then drag & drop, then re-lock the toolbar

Any way to remove this checkbox so that you can't move the toolbar at all? So the kids won't move it all over the screen..

Google for TweakUI - It may well have an option hidden somewhere in it. I know that it can severely curtail a lot of things in Windows (eg removing settings and control panel, display options to stop you changing the wallpaper etc)

And no it does not offer that option, thats a reg tweak/hack/mutilation or whatever they are calling them these days.

I've had this a couple of times, It is a case of drag and drop, but also perseverance.
It seems you have to get the pointer in the right place.
