Video Conversion Software
How does one go about converting large size AVI (DIVX) files into multiple Video CD Player compatible disks?
The shortest method I seem to be able to find involves using one software to cut the file into parts that will fit on one disk, then use another to rip out the audio, a third to convert into MPEG format and join the two and finally a fourth to write your disks. Is there one single utility that does the work of the first three if not all four? |

The DivX software lets you set the size of the file. Therefore, you can always fit a film onto one CDR.

Not sure if this will handle DivX but it is a useful program for backing up DVD's. It lets you strip out unwanted parts, like foreign audio files, allows re-authoring, and will compress files to make sure it all fits onto a standard DVD disc ready for burning - and its Freeware ! DVD Shrink
