LightScribe DVD burners

Looks like I need a new DVD burner. I was rather taken by this LightScribe idea (wish I'd thought of it and patented it myself) instead of messing around with labels or scrawling on them with supposedly indelible ink.

Does anyone have any experience with LightScribe drives and disks? Does it work as advertised?

TIA.

They work pretty well but only in black and white unfortunately.

I much prefer getting inkjet printable disks and using a printer capable of printing onto discs.

If you decide to plump for a normal writer I highly recommend Pioneer. Pioneer drives are what 90% of disc manufacturers use to test their media so compatibilty is second to none.

I have used them, they are brilliant, but i found it hard to get the discs, so i have gone back to printable DVD's. When i did get the discs they was a little pricey. The results are great though, they look the part, infact i coppied a DVD of xxxxxx software and it looked the same. I used a Philips drive, i am aware Pioneer are good but LiteOn are supposed to be the best?
