Sound/Video prob on laptop
My laptop is driving me nuts.
I have iTunes and Windows Media Player and every time I play a tune or a video, the sound "stutters" for want of a better word and sometimes even sounds like it has slowed down a bit (like a cassette that has stretched) - then after about twenty seconds it eventually levels out. Have just noticed that each stutter is accompanied by a flashing hard disk light of equal duration. The memory spec is ok 512MB RAM The local computer guy has no idea why it's doing it as I have no other heavy programs on board the machine. It has a 60GB hard disk with 45GB left. Can anyone advise me on what might be wrong? Thanks Farrell |
Try disabling your anti-virus software. It could be the music file is being "scanned" for Virus and this is causing the problem (would also explain HDD activity)

i used to have the very same problem. it seems there is a conflict between itunes and media player. i updated to the latest media player (v11.0.5358) and all is well now.
