Possible solution for avoiding firewalls / snoops while travelling?
 

There's a bit of buzz around a new service called Relakks. (No direct link. i'm not advertising, Google is your friend here!)

Its a VPN service which, for 5 Euro a month, lets you connect to them, from which point to internet servcies of all types you appear to be in Sweden and are covered by Swedish privacy law.

It may be helpful when you find your connection being restricted or want to make life more difficalut for people to monitor your interent traffic.

Of course, not doubt attempts wil be made to block access to this service where the powers that be do not like you to have privacy and freedom, bnutit may be useful for a while.
