Virus! Booting HD 1/3
A while ago I tried to install Linux Ubuntu on my laptop and abandoned the process after the difficulty involved and a google search revealing that noone had installed one on a Fujitsu Lifebook....
After obliterating everything on the HD with a reinstall of the computers factory CDs (XP Pro) on boot it gives me a virus warning, I hit enter and everything boots up and runs well. Obviously there is no virus as I have reformatted the disk. It might have something to do with failed partitions, but I have downloaded PartitionMagic and have sorted out the partitions (four partitions 10G 15g 25g and 50g). Any pointers to get ri of this annoying message, or a good website to post to to get a reply? Cheers |
Is it the virus checker in the BIOS or a software one? What virus is it reporting?
