logging on to web based e-mail
I've just acquired a brand new desktop computer at home and I have an odd problem as it will not log on to certain websites which require a username and password.
For example, if I try to log on to internet banking or yahoo webmail (using internet Explorer), the page just re-directs me back to the log in page again with the details I've entered cleared off. However, if I try and log in to pprune, it works OK! :ugh: I can log on fine to both internet banking and yahoo mail if I use another computer. I suspect the answer is a simple one, but I'm blowed if I can figure it out! Any help would be gratefully received. |
Check your 'cookie' settings - it may be that you have limited cookie action with PPRune enabled?
Go to 'Tools'/'Internet Options'/'Privacy'/'Advanced' and tell us what is set ie ticked. PPRune AND banking sites all require cookies enabled. |
Thanks BOAC. I'm at work now, but will check tonight.
:ok: |
Sorted. Thanks BOAC. You are a star.
