TWO operating systems!
On reinstalling XP Pro a point came which you might call a X roads. ALL files were about to be erased from the current OS and the option was to install a new one - WITHOUT SAYING - that it was in fact installing another OS. Now there is two on one HD and although the original works as before the other one is impossible to deal with - no doubt with heaps of files that maybe missing. It is causing hangs and other troubles.
How can I remove the damn thing? Ta! |
One can only presume that this was recent and if so, the best answer is to forgo the $200, go straight to jail and do it again. At least, by now, you will have discovered the frights of having wrong/incorrect drivers, etc. so if it isn't too difficult, I would say splash the lot and start again. There may be better and less radical answers and I would await them, but at least this way, you are going to know exactly where you stand, with a healthy system, clean hard drive and hopefully a few hours of untroubled sleep.
