mobile device probs

My handheld PDA has a few programms on it I wish to delete. No problemo as there is a delete programmes icon there.
But the startup icons are still in the programme list. Any idea how to delete them?
I'mk using windows mobile 5 on an SPV m5000.

If the applications have really been deleted, check via activesync add/remove programs, you can then navigate using either activesync and explore device or the filemanager on the device itself, to the \Windows\Start Menu directory on the device and delete the deleted items shortcuts.
