No streaming video......help

Hi Wizards.

I've got a new laptop. It's got Ms media player 10 on it but won't stream video, I have to download it. I have "use the proxy settings of the web browser" checked. Any ideas? OOh, I have Norton on and windows Firewall.

OK, I've figured out whats causing this, it's Norton Antivirus. If I turn it off, all the features of WMP 10 work. How can I make it work with the antivirus thing turned on?

I had problems runing anti virus software and windows fire wall. suggest you down load the free Zone alarm fire wall and dump the windows one.:ok:

Mind you I dont know why I bother with a fire wall as ive got one built into the router :confused:

Thanks Green but it's Norton thats stopping it working, not the windows firewall.
