XP Startup
 

Does anyone know why my version of XP home has developed two startup screens?
It starts what I perceive as normally then when it gets to the title screen with the blue bar pulsing across it it runs for what I consider a normal time, blanks for about two seconds, then runs the same screen again followed, as normal by the select user screen. Subsequent operation is normal. I presume that somewhere along the way something has been installed twice, and while I know much, I don't know what this could be.

Got any utilities running? I have just binned one that had "Boot time defrag" which put me through a similar routine
