Webcam recommendation?

My kids want a webcam for their PC - so their friends can see them whilst they use MSN, apparently! Thing is, there seem to be a large selection with prices varying from <£10 to £100 and I don't really know what I am looking for. I guess I would be looking to pay around £40 but which one should I go for? Should it have a built in mic; can you transmit sound using MSN?

Got one of these (SPC200NC) from pcworld, mic included, works fine. Yes you can - audio via MSN that is. £13.99. PM inbound with more info.
