Removing Norton
 

I am running Win ME and have been using Norton AV software. I have now purchased McAfee Security Suite 2006. I uninstalled Norton before loading the new software, but when I tried to install the new suite I get a message that said I must remove the Norton Rescue Disk!

I can't find this and was of the opinion that I had uninstalled the Norton stuff.

Any thoughts?

I just found a utility called RNAV and tried that, but still no joy!

Finally chanced my arm and removed all traces of the words 'Symantec' and ' Norton' from the registry - did the trick!
