Win Media Player 10 Volume control
 

I have just moved XP onto a new mobo and the last remaining problem is that the WMP volume and mute have no effect. Sound on chip is Realtek ac'97 and XP is SP2. Normal volume controls and Realtek controls all ok, but WMP is fixed in volume.

1) Have tried re-install
2) Have Googled until weary and tried MS Knowledge
3) It worked normally on previous system and works ok with Roxio
4) I know there are 'better' progs:D

I would appreciate any links/help
