Any advice appreciated folks.
I have Windows 98 and recently i have been getting Error 678 no answer when i try to dial up.
I am with Bt Openworld, i called their helpdesk who gave me a few suggestions but nothing worked, the last suggestion was my modem had blacklisted the password

I can sometimes bet into Bt Yahoo but not to Bt Openworld after 10 or more attempts on auto dial.
Just this evening i got into Bt Openworls on the 6th attempt.
Im not to clued up so in plain English any help please.

I think I had this error once when I used dial-up and it was a duff modem. Do you have another modem you can try?
