Help sought with VBA in Excel
I was wondering if any of the knowledgeable folk here can help me with a Visual Basic for Applications problem I have.
I am trying to find out how to connect to a modem and send data and copy the responses recieved to excel cells. I have searched far and wide on the internet but can't seem to find anything so I thought if there is one place I will get an answer its here so over to you guys. Thanks in advance R4 |
I would second the above an suggest you try looking for:
mscomm32.ocx Which is an add in which I think will do what you ask. EG |
Agree that you are unlikey to find a chunk of VBA code that does this.
You will need to use mscomm32.dll or some other add-in as ExGrunt suggests. RC |
I found the answer and with it a most helpful site. worth checking out the other forums too.
