Have just set up a friend's new Dell desk top. XP Home comes installed with SP2 incorporated.
Boots up OK and activates any CDs or DVDs inserted in the drive BUT ... I cannot 'explore' the disk contents.
Any attempt to look at the file contents via My Computer or Windows Explorer fails - just the Disk title shows. I seem to recall that the 'nanny' mentality of the latest Redmond offering doesn't like users being able to see their files but I can't remember how to side-step this. Any suggestions, please?
