ping ok! browser not
 

I can ping a website successfully, well sometimes. I get request timed out more often than not. IE6 and Firefox, both just hang there not connecting to anything.
Any clues?

What OS are you running? Are you dial-up or broadband?

When some pings get through and others dont it suggests a cabling issue...

well I think it could be a network issue as the ping I'm sending from a client machine. Its a wifi network and I'm also having trouble with a soundbridge unit I use to play radio through my hi-fi. Half the time it connects to the wrong ip address. Bizarre. Its out in the country here with no other wireless networks to connect to.
