media player and iTunes
 

Whenever I load up either Windows Media Player or iTunes on my Windows XP PC, it just locks and I have to hit the restart "emergency" button on the box. :(

I have Norton anti-virus installed and it has been run several times, also with Spysweeper, but to no avail!

Any ideas as to what could be causing this problem?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds it bl**dy infuriating! I thought it was just Apple's way of saying that you should be using this on a Mac.....

Any fixes?

Have you tried making sure the PC is not on-line, and disabling Norton (right click on the Norton Icon next to the clock on the task bar and choose disable) - then launching the programs.

Let me know if that works.
