I've cut and paste the content into a PM. look to method 3 and 4. 4 might be the problem.

OK, had a look through the rest of the log and it still seems good.

Can you confirm that you have tried BOTH IE and Firefox recently and neither will display the http://v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com web page?

Any luck with the stuff that Stoney recommended?

Well, I managed to get my updates, but I still can't physically type in the address into IE and find the site.
