Money management programs

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good program for managing ones current account with? I have a feature in my online banking that allows me to download all my transactions for a given time period into a csv file or other. I would love to be able to put it into one of those money programs in order to see where all my money goes!!
Anybody got any suggestions or experience of such progs or are they just a waste of time?

Cheers

I've used MSMoney for a couple of years now. About to get the 2005 update as well. It does a lot more than just break down your income/expenditure. If you want to spend the time (and it IS timeconsuming) you can value all your assets (house, car, insurance, that old Picasso in the loft, etc.) and let the program figure out your net worth. It's also useful to help keep track of share values (and sometimes downright depressing!).

The UK PC magazines tend to put it at the top of the value for money vs usability list too.

There are other products out there and you could probably find them if you had a look on the Dabs website under software.

That reminds me ..... must get all the receipts from the past couple of months into it :ugh:

I've used Microsoft Money for a number of years. Excellent, IMHO. It's one of the reasons that my PC still gets used after the Mac arrived :)
